As most here know I used to build/paint diecast cars. I used to try and customize the 1/18 Maisto SVT Cobra's for members here. Pros: Provided a service to SVTP members here to get a replica of their cars. Was a cool hobby that allowed me to deal with different people and build different cars that provided certain challenges. Kept me seeking ways to improve my abilities and product. Most, if not all SVTP members, were very appreciative of the service I provided and word of mouth quickly spread. I received many positive comments and feedback on things I should do or try that also improved my product. It was a nice little side income that I would use to fund part of my annual family vacation. Cons: There were not many cons at all. Everyone here on SVTP was always very kind and understanding when situations arose. However, if I had to pick some I would say shipping was one issue. Not price or time wise, but UPS and USPS treated the packages with very little regard for the contents. So, sometimes things would arrive damaged. SVTP members were always VERY cool. They would send the car back and I would repair it and send it back. Some other issues I would say are cost of materials. Since I used automotive paint it was a little pricey. Lastly, as most know, I lost my garage to my 65 Mustang and 57 Thunderbird. So, I do not have a place to paint anymore and had to stop the hobby for now. It was great while it lasted and I was able to create some pretty cool SVT Cobra diecast cars.......
