Big day today. King got the cast off finally. Xrays still show a slight fracture in the radius and the ulna is realigned but still has some healing to go (I may have those bones reversed). The vet said that the cast has done its job and it can't stay on any longer as he has some sores and so casting will start to hinder more than help. So as of now it's just taking it easy still and making sure there's no hard impacts so we can get him healed the rest of the way.
You can see the bump in his arm where it's formed around the break. I broke my left arm in the same place twice when I was younger and I remember that bump being there for years after.

today makes 10 years with this goober and she's roughly 11 now, wouldn't trade it for anything.
We're off to UF to follow up with the kidney specialist tomorrow for a checkup and new round of lab work so no birthday treats until we get home.
