If you are looking forward to watching the dramatic finish of the NASCAR season this weekend, you can also look forward to seeing a couple of special cameo appearances by the hot, new 2015 Mustang. Yes, a special Wimbledon White Mustang will pace the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series races, while another Race Red Mustang will serve as the splitter car between the two races.
“Ford is very proud to have a 50-Year Limited Edition 2015 Mustang pace the NASCAR Sprint Cup and Nationwide races during Ford Championship Weekend,” Chantel Lenard, director, U.S. Marketing, Ford Motor Company, said. “To have Mustang—a brand born of racing—in this special anniversary year, leading some of the world’s best drivers to the championship in two of NASCAR’s premier series, is special. We know our fans will enjoy seeing it out on the track.”
The white Pace Car is none other than one of the 1,964 50-Year Limited Edition Mustangs. Piloting this rare Mustang to lead the field of race cars to the start of the Sprint Cup race will be Ford’s President and CEO Mark Fields. Meanwhile, Ford’s Vice President, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service, John Felice will pace the Nationwide race in this rare Mustang GT.
If you are a truck fan, you can look forward to seeing two 2015 F-150s pacing the Truck Series race on November 15.
Undoubtedly it will be cool to see Mustangs and F-150s pace the races, but wouldn’t it be cooler to win your own 2015 Mustang? Well, if you sign up by November 16, you might just win one or other cool prizes via the NASCAR After the Lap Sweepstakes.
