Juggernaut Power unveils its full line of 2015+ Mustangs at The SEMA Show

This week in Las Vegas, Nevada, the team at Juggernaut Power unveiled its full line of customized Mustangs. Ranging from a tuned-up EcoBoost Mustang to turbocharged V-8, these Mustangs are the realization of a dream for the company’s founder, Rey Rivera. And, soon, if you are interested, these dream rides can appear in your driveway with a three-year, 36,000-mile warranty.

Maximum Motorsports and Juggernaut Power's design group, TVG got together to design shock/strut system specific to this cars needs,” Rey Rivera said of the JP Alpha Male. “Let me tell you, it works and works well. The car can be ordered in a manual configuration or the auto with paddle shifters.”

“…If I had to choose one word to describe the feeling, it would be proud,” Rey told us. “I’m proud of my team and family. The team that I assembled is first class. Their hard work, motivation and technical ability are next to none. They sacrificed late nights to work on these cars. Their families are also huge part of this program. They are very supportive and just as excited. I am completely proud of the whole team. That’s what makes this experience special. We all shared the same vision.”

Up until The SEMA Show, that vision had been a close-kept secret, that only a few potential customers had seen until we shared our preview with you last week. The initial response from those customers was quite positive, and the company headed to Las Vegas in hopes of sharing its vision with a broader range of prospective buyers.

“When this idea first came to me, I envisioned a line of cars that could set performance standards and yet please the taste of the masses. This is not an easy task,” Rey said. “This what brought us the idea of such a versatile line-up: a sleek high-powered four-cylinder Mustang that commands respect on the road course and street; high-powered, supercharged Mustangs that provide pure adrenaline with the ability to handle with the best of them, a street-legal drag strip brawler, and twin-turbo Hyper Mustang that will make super car owners think twice.”

Where many tuners would stick with the V-8-powered Mustang GT as a modding platform, the Juggernaut Power crew sees the bigger picture. Thus they chose the turbo four-cylinder for the company’s entry-level package.

Featuring a built Coyote and transmission, the silver Juggernaut Power RC3 promises 900 horsepower with the handing and braking to back it up. The RC2 is also supercharged to over 700 horsepower, but it retains the stock engine and transmission.

“The S550 platform is a global one. The EcoBoost version is just point the exclamation point to that! Wanting to stay true to our form, of building a menu for everyone we decided to take the EcoBoost to a whole different level. We teamed up with Adam Brunson to make sure we had the best turbo upgrade available. This car will make many V-8s feel inadequate to say the least. With its light weight and a fully adjustable coilover system this car is sure to put a smile on your face at the road course and make your competition frown.”

In between the RC1 EcoBoost Mustang and the Alpha Male is a pair of supercharged 5.0-liter vehicles. The RC2 sticks with the stock engine and transmission and pushed the performance to 750 horsepower. For those that want more, the RC3 sports a built short-block and transmission to withstand its 900 horsepower.

If you want to direct that kind of power in a straight-line, Juggernaut Power also have a package directed squarely at drag-racing aficionados.

“I grew up building and racing American muscle cars at the drag strip. I started with a 1972 GTO that my dad Ray and I built from the ground up. That was it. I was hooked on the 1,320! Most grassroots car guys start off in drag or street racing. That’s what led me to wonder why is it that none of the Big Three offer a street-legal drag setup,” Rey explained. “We want to offer a menu for all the gearheads, so we decided to use the S550 platform to round out that menu by including the Drag Pak.”

“This car doesn’t just look the part; it performs. The Drag Pak will be offered with a slew of options. You can build your car on paper just how you need it and we take care of the rest,” he added. “Or you can simply order the base model Drag Pak and run single digits all day long and drive the car back home after you’re done at the track.”

Certainly the RC1, RC2, RC3 and the Drag Pak offer some tantalizing performance options in their own right, but it is the Alpha Male that will pique the interest of true horsepower junkies.

“This is our flagship vehicle—The Alpha Male JP1200. You want power, refinement, class, superior handling, world-class braking and more at a fraction of the cost of its European counterpart, then this is your car,” Rey said. “Some people may groan at the fact that we are making these bold statements, but this 1200-horsepower Mustang will more than convince them once they take it for a spin…”

To create reliable four-digit power, the Juggernaut team completely revamps the drivetrain with more durable hardware. Then they partnered up with a turbocharging expert for a mid-mount turbo system that provides the boost to make that number.

“…The drivetrain is completely upgraded to support the power this mutant Mustang makes. Juggernaut Power teamed up with turbo mad man Justin Brandes of Limitless Performance & Fabrication to create the twin-turbo kit that powers this Hyper Mustang,” he said. “This kit is specific to this car…”

While you might assume that a car with that kind of power would be rough around the edges, this car is built from the ground up for streetable performance at a high level.

“…This car can hold its own on a road course and eclipse 200 mph in no time and slow you back down in even less; All while supported in lightweight, suede-wrapped seats,” Rey enthused. “These cars are completely stripped down to the shell and gone through with a fine-tooth comb. Once we have inspected down to its core, we have the body prepped and painted by one of our most talented team members, Robert Pradke. He laid down one of our JP colors, Phoenix Red on our Alpha Male prototype.”

In less than a year, Juggernaut Power has put together an expansive lineup of high-performance Mustangs that should suit just about every need. However, the company isn’t resting on its SEMA laurels. There’s an even racier version of the Alpha Male in the works as well.

“We’re not done there,” Rey teased. “We have a track-oriented version of this car coming your way. It is a lightweight, rev-happy car called the J-Code. Stay tuned for more.”

The company will begin taking orders for its Track Vehicle Group machine on the first of November, and the pricing will be released on Black Friday so you can decide which car to order in advance. Likewise, you will also be able to purchase many of the parts used on these vehicles, including the turbo kit.

“Juggernaut Power will offer most components that are used to build these vehicles,” Rey added. “Some will have variations from the actual components used on the serialized vehicles. But will all have the highest quality materials and craftsmanship…”
