This is what Ford should have installed on the track pack option! Brake cooling ducts are very important for open tracking heavy cars like the GT500.

I wanted a clean look that blended in with the front spoiler. If you don't know how to fab things or used a dremel this mod is not for you. After 10 hours of playing in the garage this is what the final results are. One change I would make is to move the spoiler duct to the outside 1/4" or less to allow better access to the lower spoiler bolt.

Brake cooling ducts were found in the UK @ Merlin Motors Sport

3" Brake duct hose can be found @ Racer Parts Wholesale

That is absolutely fabulous!

Neat mod.
I am going to have to do this when my gt500 arrives.

Very nice!

Definitely should have been included with the Track Package.

Good stuff.

Nice garage too!

What was the cost of all the parts? Very nice job and well done.

Rotor ducts $160
Ducts hose $90
Front ducts $130 converted from UK pounds
Screws $10
Total $390

What floor finish do you have? Looks good.

Marbal 1/4 chips

Solid chips
Two coats of Urethane Epoxy

Beautiful setup, too bad it would never survive my driveway entrance.

Maybe it just me and the angle the pics were taken at but it doesn't look to hang any lower than the 3 piece spoiler?

OP, great mod! Very nicely done :coolman:

I can't clear the sidewalk with the lower 3 piece spoiler installed.
I wish it would work for me. It is the best installation I have seen to date, very well thought out and executed.

Thanks

It doesn't go any lower than the outside spoilers. That was one of my goals.

Awesome.

Just a thought -- a hot knife (even an old knife using a torch to heat up) actually goes through the plastic fairly quickly without all the mess. If you have ever used a plasma cutter, the slag left over is essentially the same as when you do plastic -- very easy to knock off and leave a cleaner look.

EDIT: Amazon also has the needed 3" ducts for 71 dollars shipped -- and from the same store.

Are those front ducts not available here in the states? And are the rotor ducts a bolt on deal or is there any fab work involved?
