I've ported a couple Eaton's myself, and plenty of throttle bodies, plennums, heads and lower intakes..... It's not that hard at all, but one thing I see that may be a problem for you, will be getting those shavings out of the needle bearings in the back of the case.... You should tape that stuff off before you start.
No, I completely clean them many, many times and put fresh grease back in afterwards. Then use about a full can of brake cleaner after I clean them with water and an acid brush with some good soap. Plus inspect them afterwards when you can see them and spin them freely. I might get at least one blue hand out of it but no worries on getting them cleaned and regreased.

Posi Ported Eaton pushed this car into the 9's with no Nitrous! Current 1/4 mile Record Holder with a 9.94 @ 135mph and only Eaton in the 9's without Nitrous! Ever. http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...only-baby.html
This thing is about finished now. I ported the throttle body yesterday. Now the rest of the humps from the IC bolts on the midplate and checking the inlet to make sure it's matched up with the plenum.
Maybe some other work but not sure yet. I honestly think it's going to put out some great numbers like it is.
Here's a few pic's of the Throttle body.
I'll work on it again to get that center line in between the bores straight. So don't mind that. Then another once over to clean up a few deep sandpaper marks.
Just got back from the dyno. The truck made 462/537 and i am very happy with it. Mods are in signature, the gauge was showing 13lbs. The power was still raising at 5300rpm but neither on of us wanted to push it any further due to only having 80 miles on the new motor. A huge thanks goes to Posi for porting the blower, plenum, tb and Lee Blankenship for working his magic with the truck once again.
Any finished pics of the port before you put it on?
I completely forgot till i already got it bolted down and was putting the upper plenum on. I took a few of the inlet but they didnt turn out very good. I know POSI took some when i picked it up. I am sure he will post them up.
I think I might have lost the pictures but I'm still looking.
This truck is making 13lbs of boost and last night it ran a 7.62 @ 92.01 with a 1.73 60' at our local 1/8th mile track. The DA was roughly 1,950 feet above sea level also. So it's got a lot more left in it than that.
My guess would be 7.40's pretty easily the way is sits if the DA is down pretty low.
I've still only done that one and it responded great. I'm kind of lost actually why nobody has sent any in. I've done 35 ports now and not one person isn't happy with what they got. I've ported blowers for a Lightning, Marauder, Cobra's, and GT500's and all of them have gotten nice gains. Let alone the upgrade's I've done on blowers that were already ported have all made gains also.
I'm baffled because these ports will work and they'll work good. They'll catch on like the others but it'll just take a few out there to spread the word.
Pretty sure that truck ran a 7.28 in the 1/8th mile and had more in it easily. Maybe he'll see this and chime in.
Oh and my blower is on the Cobra that's ran 9's in the 1/4 without Nitrous. First and only time this has ever been done.

Well, the way I see it, you’ve had to take on the slander and all the negative press from your biggest competitor.. I have faith and confidence in your workmanship and your product. Facts are facts and they don’t lie. I can assure you, if I didn’t have a twin-screw on my Cobra, you’d be the only one porting my Eaton. Furthermore, I can also assure you, when I buy a Lightning at the end of the year, you will be the one to port it. I was just curious if there is any more info on the Lightning blower you’ve ported.
