FRPP Forged 5.4 shortblocks $2700.00
I normally wouldn't post something like this in here but this seemed like such a great deal I wanted to get it to the guys that need the info.
FRPP is clearing these out and once they're gone they're gone, these are the Lightning specific (water pump related) forged short blocks.

The free shipping is in the lower 48 states only
I just called FRPP and they used Manley rods and Mahle pistons, he said they had tested them to around 700hp.
I'm quite sure they'll take a lot more than 700 since guys are making over 1000 with stock iron block Terminators and GT500's.
Should be a good solid short block!!

I just spoke to Steve, he told me that it is rated around 700 RWHP, but mentioned that he has seen this exact bottom end handle close to 1000 RWHP safely!

For reference, I've sold a fair amount of the stuff FRPP builds such as short blocks, long blocks, ported heads and without question the guys assembling the stufff always rave about the quality of the parts and the assembly.
I've even had machinists call back and rave about the finish of heads and blocks from FRPP.
It is very good stuff.

The Lightning specifc version will be discontinued once they sell out the last 14 they have in stock.
As far as I know they'll continue to make the GT500 version (same cost) but it uses a different water pump so I'm not sure exactly what would be required ro run it in a Lightning.
