Yes but the "killa" will be back with ported heads, fuel system, and over 16-18psi. We should still be able to get the rematch this year. Yes it blew on the dyno. I should have brought a camera so I would have a vid of it blowing smoke all over the place.

The tuner definitely should have been watching the boost gauge regardless. I don't see how the pressure would instantly spike to 14psi and blow the motor that quickly. Doesn't matter anyway because the tuner also should have had the first pull dead rich to play it safe, then back off on the fuel and add timing in later runs. I thought that was a standard practice, not to just go untuned and balls out on the first run.
Yes it was pretty much fully spooled as soon as he mashed it. The thing came onto boost so hard it was ridiculous. I dont think he was prepared for that kind of spool. I put some heatwrap on the downpipe but it still has a catalytic convertor on it. Yea I think he should have done a "half throttle" pull or something before he just went wot on the first round. He did drive it on the street datalogging for awhile beforehand. He did do something to the tune before he put it on the dyno but I dont know exactly what he did to it. I gave them the keys and figured all was well....
