Yes, and it's not overbearing like some Vortechs/Prochargers that I've heard. The Paxtons come with helicut gears which minimizes the whine. In my opinion it's a perfect whine, not loud enough to make people think something is wrong with the car, but enough for people to know something is under neath the hood.
And when you get on the gas hard, it sounds like a 747 about to take off.
