I can see both sides here. Yours being that it was a dumb mistake and it wasn't the best idea or whatever. However, it sounds like he knows it was an accident but he is ready to take on the challenge.
At least he is getting ready and preparing himself for it and has told his family about it so they can support him and what not. Usually these days, you hear stories like this and the baby's momma or daddy runs off and one person is stuck with all the drama.
Like I said, I see both sides of the story. With that being said, I'm 19 myself and don't plan on having a little Chris running around anytime soon.
