It may not be "common" knowledge but it is believed that steig replaced the gearset in the snout of the eaton to one with a higher ratio to spin the blower faster. Which is the same as running a smaller pulley yet with no belt slip. Thus you would not want to run a (internal) "2.76 pulley" with a actual 2.76 snout pulley.. that would be twice a normal 2.76..
