Is this data give you any ability to improve tunes without a/f ratio feedback data from a wideband? If so, I will send you mine asap. I have good results so far, but it would be nice to know that my tune is adjusted to it's best. Thanks.

I know this is an OLD post but yes. Hook up your Xcal2 and use LIVELINK to datalog.

Download LIVELINK from here :

But you also need a Wideband with analog outputs to interface with the XCal2. You can't log A/F with the XCal2 alone.

Great info. This is the Bible of diagnostic tuning. Rick Emailed this exact list to me a few years ago, and I live by it.

+1. Once I get Live Link to work on my laptop I'll be doing some logs. I'm sure the tune is spot-on but I just want to log for the fun of it.

I log a few other things such as Wideband O2's, and what not, but the things listed are of the most important in order for Rick to do any fine tuning on your car.

I am using a DJ WBC, and it works amazingly well. My brother Uses the Innovate kit, and it works just as well.

What about the Diablosport Predator, can it datalog?

If not,
could you use my Autotap log for the tune?

This would be better posted in the car specific section. This thread is dealing with datalogging.

RPM
Coolant Temp
MAF counts
MAF Flow #s
Inlet Air Temp
Downstream Air Temp
STFT
LTFT
Pressure Drop Across the Injectors (fuel rail pressure)
Fuel Pump Duty Cycle
Spark
Battery Voltage
TPS counts or voltage

Linn, I am trying to datalog the PIDs shown above using a Predator U7142 but it seems there is no way to capture all of these on the same run due to the PID groupings provided on the tool. There are several diffrent PID screens but none contains all of the PIDs above.

I am thinking that I would need to 2-3 logs to capture everything Rick wants to see. Is that correct or am I missing something?

Thanks

I am haveing the same issue with the Predator. Should I just do multiple runs to get everything? Will it save all the runs in the Predator, or do I need to save each one seperatly on the computer, then data log the missing paramiters?

As far as I can tell the Predator will only hold one log at a time, and then overwrite it so you would need to upload after each run. I still can't figure out how to log all PID's on a single run, but maybe there is a way.

Will the SCT Livewire record everything needed for tune revisions? Do you offer the Livewire with your tunes?

Please correct if I am wrong, for the SCT these are:

environment:

AIR_CHARGE_TEMP
DOWNSTEAM_ACT
COOLANT_TEMP

fuel:

LTFT_BANK_1
LTFT_BANK_2
STFT_BANK_2
STFT_BANK_2

fuel_pump:

PRES_DROP_F_INJ
RTLS_FPUMP_DTYC

maf:

AIR_FLOW_#/MIN
MAF_AD_COUNTS

misc:

BATTERY_VOLTS
RPM
TP_ABSOLUTE

spark:

SPARK_ADVANCE

There are numerous aliases, filtered vs raw, etc.

Anybody come up with what pid's to select for rick using the perdator? Also is it easier to stream to a laptop with the predator? Also is the file a text file I need to send rick?

I have the ablity to livestream with the Predator. I just need to know if I can only choose 8 like the hand held unit or since I'm using the laptop I can choose more. I'm thinking not because its still going through the predator? Any thought so i can give Rick what he needs?
