Handheld tune from amazon vs dyno tune?

Hello I was looking at amazon and they have some tuners that are pre tuned for your vehicle I assume since they have so much experience you just tell them year, make, model plus add ons and they do your tune?

and if so what are the differences if I do that or get it dyno tuned since I live in Southern California.

I'll give you my opinion on as to why you should go with an Amazon tune as to a local dyno tune. This past weekend I had the pleasure to meet Mr. Rick and Mrs. Linn at their shop in South Carolina. Mr. Rick tuned my buddies mach 1 that had a recent pro-charger install on her. Rick asked my buddy all the necessary questions to ensure the car was perfect once the straps came off the car. When people say their the best in the South East, they are not lying. I've NEVER seen so much one on one time with a customer than I have this past weekend. He even re-explained a lot of the information to me even though it wasn't my car. Throughout a lot of the tuning session I was taking pictures with the current Miss. Amazon so I didn't get to see everything. But from what I did see, when the time comes to get my DSG on the rollers, You better believe that the big man will have his hands on my car!!!!

What I did see was a legend in the business who was not scared to explain to his customer what he was doing to his car and why he was doing so. Just listen to Mr. Rick speak and you'll know why he's been in business so long.

Keep in mind another option. Mr. Rick will fly out to you and tune your vehicle on a local dyno! How many other tuners are willing to leave their shop in order to make sure your car is given the treatment it deserves?

You paid good money for your car and tuning a car should not be a place you cut corners at to reduce costs. Just my opinion!

To the OP

None of our tuners are pretuned. We buy them blank and load a basic preliminary custom tune just for your vehicle. You will then have to datalog specific parameters and AF ,send that back to Rick and he will begin the process of dialing it in using the data and driver feedback.

Our custom tuning service is a truly customized personal expereince with each of our customers whether it is remote tuning or dyno tuning.
