When you break your back and get shot. Let me know.
So please don't throw words in my mouth.

Thanks

;)
What did you do? Where were you at and with what unit. So you got shot, broke your back and are messed up awaiting medical discharge, yet were able to lat move and to be found physically qualified for flight duty as a crew chief on C-5s. If you need a call made to General North to see the status of your Bronze Star I am assuming with "V" device I can make that happen. My father did go to flight school and flew F-16s with him. His callsign is "Nordo". I've met him a few times over the years.

I'm pretty sure not all C-5 crew chiefs are on flight status. He's probably just a maintainer now.

Did you go through AST after the new building was finished? I've always wanted to go in there and check it out. I went through ALS with Casey Crate and we became friends during the process.

Maybe so. We got Bloostd figured out now though. I do believe he is a maintainer. Not so sure about the other parts though.

Actually, I'm still active but on Temp Retirement Duty Listing, Just got back from a business trip in Reno...

After I got injured L.O.D. I was cross trained into a Training Manager for a maintenance sqd. I was never a flying crew chief. Clearly my medical documents prove what happened or I wouldn't be on TDRL for breaking my back. I never wanted to get out of CCT, but things happen and I wasn't WWQ anymore, so I got pushed out like 99% of people that get injured in the AOR. Maintenance was never my thing. Nor did I ever want to get cross training into a office job. But I gave it a try and if my back healed I could go back to my former unit. It never did, I had an M.E.B. 100% disability.

Gotcha. There are ways to find out the truth. The guys over at Specialtactics.com: Pararescue, Combat Control, CRO, STO, SERE, and SOWT Information aren't fond of people saying they were CCT or a PJ. I found that website when I was trying to join CCT myself. Didn't workout because of a car accident though.

Why were you denied?
Did you get hurt in the accident. They will not except pre-existing conditions. I know so many guys who tried to hide their medical paperwork from civilian life. A guy that tore his MCL and thought it was healed, after endoc. course he was hurting and couldn't hide it.

Yup, got hurt pretty bad. My femur got destroyed and I've haven't been right since. I figure everything happens for a reason and I moved on. I finished my enlistment and now I'm about to finish my B.S.E.E.

edit: After I started the process of cross training I got hurt. I didn't even make it into the pipeline.

I hear you out man... Just stay motivated, I lost track of my self after I broke my back. Shattered my L4/L5 Vertebra's and two bulging disks, The doctors put me on 180mg oxycotin/day, fentynal 100 microgram patches, and all types of PTSD meds, I've been clean for about 4 months and I have never felt better. That shit really takes a-hold of you...
But everything happens for a reason and I'm working for a fortune 500 company now, but still considered Active.

What is your AFSC?

The pipeline was a son-of-a-bitch... I hurt my knee and kept pushing actually at ft. benning, jump school. I never quit and it got better when the pace slowed down and I got to my first duty station.

Never give up hope, BUT things always fall into place brother.

I went right to Hurby after Tech school and got out in 06. I did two deployments with the 20th S.O.S. for OEF and did one courier mission for OIF. I spent some time down south too, but that was before 9/11.

I can understand the feeling. However, my problem is that is alot of people i hang around are current or ex-infantry. So naturally i pick up on some of the terms, lingo and stuff like that. Hanging around other office people is boring.
