this was noted back when the 00R's first came out....apparently they came with an aggressive race pad, which chewed up rear rotors when driven under street conditions....mine had 85 miles on it when I bought it, and the rear rotors looked like crap....after I ran it on the track the first time, they looked better....so, I advise you take it to a road course, drive it fast, and brake hard!

Or you could simply change the rear pads and rotors and save them for the track. Put on some Terminator pads and rotors and you'll be fine on the street.

My front rotors were rough looking early in life until I drove the car about 200 miles, then the rotors started to look smooth. I guess that the aggressive pads and rotors finally wore together after a "break-in" period.<<Or should I say "brake-in"?

Thanks^^^^^^^^^.

Yes the 93R was/is a nice car. 458 original miles. The garage is not a huge garage, but it meets my needs for collector car storage. It is 20x40 and has central heat and air. Believe it or not, 3 late model (93-04) Mustangs will fit side by side by side in a 20' wide area. They are 77 1/2" mirror tip to mirror tip so the third car has to be rolled into place and the wheels chocked. I can fit 5 cars in that garage and all of my shop equip. plus mower equip. It works for me.

Mike,

Would you care to post any pictures of your other American iron? Looks like you have a nice GN(X?) and some Camaro's.

Just Ford for me. I am going to try and post some pics later today. I have 4 Stangs, 70 and 73 Mach 1's and 03 Term and 00R. All are almost completly stock with a few minor things that are obvious.

New R for sale

I put it in the wrong folder (97 to 2002 cobras), but Craig's had a 36000 mile R listed at $35k asking price if anyone is looking. I have too many toys, and have to pass it up.

That thing has been for sale for over 2 years now. It had 36,000 miles on it back then too. I offered him 30K and he said I was crazy because it was a collector car.. I think it will be for sale a long time.

my boss has a 2000, in his airplane hanger with , 80 miles on it! I have asked him when he wants to sell it, he just starts it up on occassion and of course never drives it, it is even " unregistered" as I work for a Ford dealer.
