I called on this 00R today. The guy was not willing to Email me any photos, and said "You've seen Mustangs before.. this one is nice. Take my word for it." I was serious in calling, and really interested. But, I'm 4 hours north of him.. and would like a couple pics of the car before I make the drive to see it. Is that too much to ask?
He said most of the miles on the car are track miles. I'm OK with that fact, as I plan to track one too. The car is located in So Cal.
Thanks for saving me the trouble of calling about this car. It does look well worn, not alot of info or pics, no email address, not much in the way of a 'communicator'. I don't care how tired you may be of tire kickers, but you never know who will buy it...so always put yer game face on, is my opinion.

You offered me the car for 35K them bumped it to 35,500, I thought once you had gave me a price we had a deal, what Gives?
Hi Aaron....I have sent you an e-mail response......Also, I don't make public private discussions about any particular dealings with any individuals, you seem to......
I was wondering if there was a special "Mary Kay edition" of the 2000 Cobra R, it looks pink in those photos.

Maybe THAT is why he didn't want to send me pics! He is embarrassed!! HA HA!
In all seriousness to the "tire kicking" types of calls when selling a car... I have sold cars that brought on tire kickers too... my Pantera, a Cobra, and many other Stangs. Never once did I place an ad online, and not have additional pics of my vehicle available at the request of a possible buyer. I mentioned to the owner of the 00R that I currently own a modded '03 Cobra and a SuperFormance 427 Cobra. I also asked specific 00R related questions about his car. I was at a loss at his unwillingness to send additional info or pics. So, I gave up. I'll spend my 40K elsewhere.
It might be a great car. Good luck to anyone else that makes the phone call.
Ahhhh, the first of my two guesses, "sold behind the scenes". Two factory fiberglass hood/fuel cell cars side by side in the same garage is a unique site.
Very nice, congrats!!!
Did the agreed price fall in the range I had mentioned?
R
Nice!
All Cobras R or not have had glass hoods since 1996. I'm not sure about the '94 '95 models

Yes, my 95 Cobras do have fiberglass (or other composite) hoods, but they are of thick/heavy construction, regular production parts, there was a factory recall for hood seperation on my 95's. I guess I should have been more specific, "lightweight high rise fiberglass hoods and fuel cells".

I'm curious as to what it will bring. Anyone know of any other R's in this condition? This car is just a few hours north of me. Surprised I have never heard of it.
Has anyone noticed the price jump from $45K+ to $60K+ since this morning, BUT reserve not met.
R
I sold my 55-Mile Car 2000R Wrapper about 6 months ago...For the High 50's......The car on Ebay sold for about 42K about 3-4 years ago, as I recall.....It was on a site of a performance car showroom.....I remember the car.........I don't think it will make sellers reserve, especially right before Christmas and a soft economy.....If I owned this car, and placed it for sale on Ebay..... it would have at least a 70-75K Reserve.......

Since this car is only 20 miles from me, I emailed the seller yesterday to see if we could get together. He said yes, so I will follow up. I would like to see his wrapper and all of the other cars in the photo that are covered up. Like you guys I never knew that there was another 00 R close to me.

Powershift, you can find another R from that one try one of these:
I wonder if this is a test.....if you look at the bidding....only 2 bidders, 82K, reserve not met.......Could this be shill bidding or the real thing???????. I like to see a better mix of different buyer bids.......But this could be real......Wonder what a 93R in this condition will fetch???????

It looks like 2 bidders are chasing this car from about $75K-up. Before that point, there was a mix of bidders.
