Ok, Mark saw my post and has corrected me. He tells me the Boss block is an additional 45# or so from the std. block. So that puts the car somewhere in the range of just under 2,600# I have plans to remove an additional 50 or so (give or take) so at this point it's a wait and see game. I've learned long ago that you can't rush these things. Rushing stuff always has a way of biting you in the ass.
The car will need some shaking down and tuning so a Road Atlanta trip next year is undecided at this point. I AM going to Road Atlanta. I just don't know when.
Brakes? I don't think this car will need much braking.
Stay tuned. As soon as I know something I'll update the thread.
Bruce, bring it down to RA - I'll help shake it out and work on the damper/spring tuning.

Is this the new block that you will be installing?

After its completion, I think Bruce should just ship the car to Atlanta. I can't be much help with the suspension settings, but I can help break-in the engine.
It was fired up on a borrowed carb and intake that was not matched to the motor. Marv and I were pleasantly surprised with the motor. I'm pretty sure it's going to be a REAL fun car. No Doubt!
We will have to change the headers that were originally on the car because they just will choke the motor down too much. And we wouldn't want that, now would we!
Stay tuned for more updates!

So what power was it making You can't throw porn at us and not give stats even if it isn't the final iteration.
Looks great btw, I can't wait to see how many more pissed off Corvette drivers there are this coming year
It was just running on an engine stand. You know, to make sure it ran!
I saw it was on a stand, I just thought that stand was an engine dyno, my bad. It looked like the round plates in the back were connected to a load cell to me for some reason Good thing you have another couple months to get that baby in before the weather clears up
EDIT: Looking back at the pictures, I still see alot of sensors and data equipment, it still looks like a dyno to me and you're just holding out on us.... HAHA

There was some crap hooked up to it like water for cooling and stuff. Maybe a few other wires as well. Not sure what all of that stuff was though!
I take a 2 year hiatus from all this, and here I see Bruce with one of the most well put together cars around. Nice, congrats Bruce.
I was just sitting back the other day and wondering if Mark still had it, I guess I have the answer to that question. I had the opportunity to hang out with Mr Mark and Mr Brian at Nashville I want to say either just before or just after it was banned from NASA. They (NASA) had reason to be skeert.
Brian, Dean, Kevin, Bruce, Mark -n- Brian, Miss you fellers, we'll get together this season....

Steve:
Long time no hear from! Looking forward to seeing you again! I hear you do some pretty mean 'grill' cookin'??!?!!
The motor is going in the car soon. Marv has a VERY popular shop!
I thought the delay was because the manufacturer was slow in delivering the titanium hollow lightweight pieces for the valve train and rotating assembly of the engine?
Have they finished polishing all of the gears in the transmission?
How is the dry sump plumbing coming along for the aluminum Ford GT block?

Doc:
I can't afford anything made out of titainium. The rotating assembly is off the shelf stuff. Trans is untouched. The only polishing that's done to the gears is what Mark and Brian did driving the car!
You must have my cars confused. The dry sump plumbing and the aluminum Ford GT block are in my slow car!

Yea, Yea, and I am married to Jennifer Anniston! She says she likes me for my body.
Actually I heard from the grapevine that you were going to stick that engine in this car and still dominate the NASA-AIX Nationals?
