Anyone into the Champ Car series during 03-06?

I just bought one of the 03 Cobra pace cars from the Champ Car series. It was one of several SVT's that paced the series from the 03-06 seasons (maybe even 07).

Anyway, i'm asking because I'm looking for some more photos, or video of this car that someone may have taken. I'm asking here because most of you guys are into racing and mustangs, and it being an 03 cobra I'd think particular attention would be paid to it by some of you guys.

Here is a pic of it being shipped over seas for one of the races....

Here it is at my work...

That's one cool '03. I don't know if I have ever seen a more clean cage in a Mustang. NICE.

This sure looks like in car video shot from that car...

So I logged on here to post a link to that exact video. Yes, that is this same car.

I worked with the person who built the 06 Mustangs. I'm guessing he built the older cars as well. I'll see if I can dig up his contact info. He's a great guy who would probably love to talk about the car and tell you everything he can.

Again, very cool Cobra. Does it still have the pace strobes? Would be cool to sticker it back up as it was run with the series.

The strobe control box is gone, but everything else is there. I had to swap all the strobe bulbs for regular ones to get the signals and fogs working again. I want to have all the decals made up as magnets to make it appear original. I'm also trying to get the BBS wheels back that were on it.

Congratulations on your purchase. That is a nice find of a historic Mustang.

The person who was responsible for the pace cars was Joel Butland but unfortunately my contact info for him were associated with the Champ Car series and are no longer valid. Joel seemed like a really good guy who was connected and I'm sure you could find him in the Indy area if you looked hard enough.

SOLD!!!! Thanks Sam!
Look for more of this car soon....It will be restored to "as paced condition"
Now I just need to find a set of BBS Plasma RK's or BBS LM's to make it correct......Any ideas?
Johnny

Contact Dean Martin at Rehagen Racing. Joel worked with us for a race or two last year after Champ Car closed down. Dean may still know how to get a hold of him. Joel is definitely a super nice guy and would love to talk about this car.
