Anyone want to take a guess as to what it would sell for as is?
Depends on the mileage, if theres any rust in the body and over all condition of the interior...... but from what the pictures show its still ~ $30K car.
Some new headlights, new third brake light, rotors replaced, and a detailing job would do wonders for it. It does not appear to have any body or paint damage.

i honestly do not believe the car has been on the road ever, only to get its ass beat then parked some more. like i said this car was forsale there back in 2000, i don't know how a mercury dealership got it, but they did.

what i heard about the car was it was taken from a divorce....
i sawr the car as well and the dealership obviously don't know what they have on there hands.
I personally am drawn to cars with a strange history. I'd pick this car over one with average miles that's sat in a garage its whole life. It gives a story to tell. Makes it more unique, IMO.
Waiting for a call back from the dealership to find out if in fact it is for sale and what they are asking for the car.. Guy said they have had quite the interest in the car recently..
WOW 1800 miles on it... He said they are taking offers on it.. I think they did there homework.

Thats a shame. I don't know how people can treat their cars like that.
Simple, its not their car...
You should have said "yes im interested in buying" just to see if it A. was for sale and if so B. how much... then after that said "woah that much for this POS! no thank you!" and came back to tell us the story
Nice job on the pics though!

Reminds me of my Grandfathers 68 coupe. He used to ride me around in it when I was a kid. Primarily where I got my taste for Mustangs from. My Grandmother sold it shortly after his death in 1982, I was 12. The owner that purchased it from her has it sitting out in his yard, uncovered, under a tree. Still drives it on local errands but it is quickly turning into a rust bucket I'm sure. I have first dibbs on it according to his wife but the guy is a total prick. I'm sadly waiting for the guy to die because that was when the wife felt she would be able to sell it to me.
