There is a local Lincoln Mercury Dealership that used to have a 00R forsale out front, its not a ford dealership so i don't believe it was a new sale, it had to of been used.

anyways to get on with the story, a few years ago my friends and i had a detail shop, we detailed cars for this dealer, we went in the back lot to pick up a car, and that 00R was chillin in the far back lot, 4 flat tires and weeds growing up around it, supposedly the dealer gave up on selling it, (must have been asking too much), rumor around town says they let any of their employees take it whenever they felt to beat on it for pleasure. I guess the car is still around, beat to hell, I am going to take a drive there tomorrow and see if it is still back their, if not i am going to ask what happened to it. Sad that car had a rough life......


posted this to see if anyone has ever heard of this car... its pretty infamous in our town.


EDIT: by the way the car was at Momentum Lincoln Mercury Monroe MI it used to be called Lou Hopkins.

Being from Temperance, and never having heard this story, this is interesting news to me! Be sure to let me know if you find anything out.

yea dude. They had a 00R for a long time. i think i am going to go see tomorrow if its still there. last time i saw it was a few years ago. all ****ed up with tires flat.

It was a used car sale. Dont know how they got it but when I looked at a few years back the rear tires were bald so i believe that they let anyone drive it.

I know for a fact they let anyone drive it. a friend of mine worked as a car porter there.

Would be nice to find that car and save it from torment. Sad to see a car like or anycar for that matter be treated with abuse.

I called to get a price the guy told me it is the owners car and it is not for sale. I was like I would like to buy it can you see if the owner would sell it? The guy said no it is not for sale...... damn.....

nope, i never got a chance to. i keep telling myself every wednesday (day off) that i am going to drive over there and see if its still in the same spot.

well. i got pics. I snapped them super quick, as people were outside and were looking at me funny because the car is in a fenced in area. one guy did walk up and asked what i was doing. I told him i was snapping pics of this car to prove its existence. anyway, it doesn't look as bad as i remembered. the headlights were hazing up a bit due to being outside for 10 years. Brand new BFG kdw's were on it also. The dude that i talked to said it was the owners car, then another guy walked up and said it was the owners son's, THEN a tech came walking out and he said the owners son sold it to his friend. I guess the friend fixed it up a bit, like i said it used to sit with 4 flat tires and looked like shit. anyway, here are the pics,


the rear 3rd brake lamp was badly faded too.


brembos were SUPER rusty. not just a quick surface rust from rain, they looked as if they hadn't been used in YEARS.

the sales dude that was out there as i was snapping pics said he could find out if the owner wanted to sell, i told him i wasn't interested at this time.

maybe if i get my shit straight and get rid of all the cars in my garage right now i'll go back and see what he wants.

anyone know what the one on barret jackson went for?

nope. i was quick about it. I didn't wanna look suspicious. The car is not out on the lot. it is tucked in the back in a fenced in area I wasn't supposed to be back there to begin with.

I would rock that daily. have to bring an Ipod with its own speakers though. no radio hahaha.


also i did not notice until pointed out. the "new" tires i thought they put on are actually drag radials front and rear. FAIL
