Is battery in truck illegal in Ca?

This question is for leo's in Ca, is the battery in truck illegal in Ca? If it is why?

I dont see why it would be a problem as there are cars that come stock with the battery located in the trunk.

Thanks for the reply, when you buy these parts from summit or jegs they say some parts are not legal in Ca on emisson controled cars, it makes you wonder.

its legal as far as i know, as long as the box and battery are strapped down, and you have a vent tube from the box exiting the vehicle to release any gases formed in the box.

buddy has an optima in his trunk (in a box, vented etc etc etc) just to run his stereo.. it's been there since 2003 and through atleast one vehicle inspection..(yes in San Diego) so.. your golden..
