What are you talking about? What ticket? A ticket is just a notice to appear. If you've already gone to jail, been arraigned, and bailed out, exactly what ticket are you going to get? If an officer is going to charge you with XXX crimes, they all should be taken care of when you're arraigned thus no extra "ticket" when you bail out.
I agree with you, however leo's do not have the right to speed either. if they are going to a call and response time is in the essence, then they need to respond code 3 with lights and sirens. other wise they *should* travel speed limit as well.
Actually, we do have the right to speed. Every department's policy varies, some put a mph limit over the speed limit in which you are allowed to travel without lights and sirens while responding to certain "levels" of calls. Lights and sirens aren't always the best way to get there.

^^^ he is right but some places might charge you to get your vehicle out of impound but that is all you will receive.

I am not against leo's nor dislike them in anyway, just bringing in the argument from another prospective. I work in the field and no I am not a certified Leo.
well the leo can run code 2 and run over the speed limit but usually they have their lights on only but every department is different
in the squad cars at my department if you run over 70 the camera starts recording and you better have a good reason for running 5 over but we are also a college campus department
gotta love doing 70 in those school zones on campus, lol. j/k
Good thing College officers in Texas have large areas they patrol. UTPD in Austin runs code 3 fairly often. The Pickle Research Center is quite a ways from campus downtown. The local community college has campuses miles from each other.

yeah we have some areas that we patrol that are several miles from campus but then again we have jurisdiction in dallas, cook, denton, and tarrant county so we could have a look ride if the call came in lol
