Inattentive ADHD and Law Enforcement?

Recently starting taking meds for this so I could concentrate better in school. My degree is Criminal Justice and I want to know will Inattentive ADHD negative effect my chances of being accepted into a PD or gov't Law enforcement agency?

A little histry; I've never had a problem with being organized or paying attention to ordinary things. Really the only time when I'm unable to fully concentrate was with something boring, challenging, reading or studying for more than 15 to 20min. On top of this I consider myself to be above average IQ wise and posess common sense.

Also, in 2007 I completed Basic training when I was in the Army if the would matter.

I dont think that would have any effect on the hiring process as long as the meds do not cause drowsiness, etc. My brother has or had this also, but he stopped taking the meds right after HS. If the only issue you have is losing attention while doing something boring, you should not have any reason to keep taking them when you start patrol. Some of the information in the academy is repetative and possibly boring so you may need it there.

^Roger that. As long as you have a note from a doctor, if the meds are prescribed you should be okay.
