Install and Tune completed at Evolution

I drove up to Evolution from Northern VA to have the following done:

Stock-look pulley
AFCO heat exchanger
1 step colder plugs
Metco idler

I'd never met any of the guys at Evolution before and had purchased a few of my parts months ago from other vendors prior to knowing much of anything about these cars. Learned I could have done a couple things better - Metco has a better idler pulley out and Fred set me straight on a few other things I was debating about doing.

Everyone was very nice and willing to share advice, which I greatly appreciate. Totally different than a shop that was local to me...which is why I drove 3+ hours to Evolution. They tune a ton of these cars and just watching them work and discuss new projects was cool. At no point did I feel like some outsider like certain other shops.

The install went great - they got it all done in a reasonable amount of time with no issues at all. Fred then did a safe street dyno tune. The car drove great on the way home but I couldn't do much testing due to the traffic an rain. Hopefully I can drive it some tomorrow night.

I plan on going back to get a few other things done in a month or so. I already had J&M rear lower control arms and a rear upper so those will go on. They mentioned torque box bracing and showed me their brace. Great little difference theirs has over the others is the mounting point for the control arm. So, Evolution brand torque box braces will be on the list as well. I'll also have a set of stainless brake hoses installed too.

I'm on the fence regarding the 10% lower pulley since I couldn't swing the C&R heat exchanger. Not sure if it will heat soak too much? I was considering trying to install a small Spal fan on mine but need to get up in there to see if one will fit.

Anyway, it was a great install experience and the pizza in Aston is pretty good too! Go there - you will not regret it.

Look on their website - the local talent was at the big BBQ event...just down the road from the shop they say.

Will the 10% lower generate too much heat? I was looking at a ported blower - would that help if I go with the 10% lower?
