SCT3 Issue

Tonight I went to the track and downloaded my EVO 100 octane tune ( car has EVO Stage II setup). It downloaded fine. I then set the two step up for 4,200 rpm and made sure the regular rev limiter was set for 6,600 rpm. I loaded the changes no problem. I also made sure the gear ratio was set for my 4.10's.

When I did my burnout, the car wouldn't rev past 4,200 rpm. In fact, the rev limiter was stuck there for my whole pass. I got to the pits, and checked the adjustments to make sure I did not make an error with my downloaded changes. I noticed that I did not make and error and the two step and regular rev limiter were set properly, however, the car wouldn't exceed 4,200 rpm under any circumstances.

I tried to change the two step to 6,800 rpm for no other reason but to essentially "defeat" it so I could make a pass without worrying about the rev limiter hitting at 4,200 rpm again. When I attempted to download the change, my problems started:

Basically the download began, I cycled the key per the screen's instructions, then the download stopped and I got an "error 1034" message, which indicated the download encounterd a problem and would not load. The problem is I then had no access to my custom tunes, and the car is stuck with the 100 octane tune with a 4,200 rpm rev limiter.

Is my SCT3 junk, or did something happen that I caused, or what?

-Brian

Sorry, didn't have time to call today, was on the road with the family heading to the Nascar race in Dover.

Tried reprogramming back to stock, it took it no problem, then I reloaded the 100 octane tune and then the 93 octane tune. Both tunes downloaded.

Only issue is the 2 step function on the 100 octane tune doesn't work. Whatever you set it at, that rpm becomes the drive rev limiter as well as the neutral rev limiiter. I set it to 6,800 just to make sure it won't impeded my runs again, but would like to get it straightened out at some point. The other thing I noticed is the car idles around 1200 rpm with the 100 octane tune, despite the settings in the SCT calling for an idle of 780 rpm. I noticed a high idle on the 93 octane tune for some wierd reason too, so I turned it down to 680 rpm but it still idles around 900. I have a stock throttle body.
