I don't know the breakdown of what catbacks are offset vs. center, but I think its a fair statement to say a majority are probably offset. BUT...the Bassani AND the Stingers are center in/out. Now, the Stingers are basically large tin-cans and to tell the truth I have no idea if the Super 44's can be placed in there. It's all about fitment under the car. You will have to take some measurements of the Stinger muffs and check your clearance on both sides and then compare to the case of the Flowies. You may have to get creative. Super 44's are made in all offsets, and different dimensions. The 4x9.75x13 case matched perfect to the Bassani dimensions I needed to swap.
The Super 44's tend to fit a little more sungly into the undercarriage due to their case being slimmer than Super 40's, 4" case vs. 5" case.

Need a Shelby GT500.....
Fireguy, I want to hear your setup! Clips please. I'm starting to think from the super 44 clips I've heard that I should have kept my mrt and welded super 44's into my stinger c/b. I am happy with my maggie x/stinger combo but the 44's I've heard sound bad arse.
I'll try to get some clips made this weekend. That MRT/Steeda combo sounds nice. I'm sure those Steeda mufflers have much more packing in them than the louder straight-thru mufflers, you getting any "glasspack-Blat" when you go WOT?
The Bassani is louder than the Magnaflow, and MUCH louder than that quiet Borla/Steeda. Its up there in volume with the Stingers. That MRT/Steeda combo looks like it could be another nice alternative, but in my mind the Flows, or MAC with the MRT lets you get as loud as you want without the BLAT. Kinda like having your cake and eating it too
I think that video of the cobra in the garage w/the baffles out sounds great to be honest. The vid of the red cobra sounds like poo when he over-revs it.
MRT catted H/Off-road definitely should mate with a Mac Flow Path cat-back. All the others dont have that true roar because they sound like they are gargled.
It sounds extremely intimidating, has a very mean roar, not to loud when cruising, but at w.o.t you will definitely wake up the dead. If you got the o/r "H", it will be loud all the time. Mac for sure!
Is there a difference between the old-style offset bassanni mufflers and the new center style? I have the old style and it doesn't sound nearly as bad as the videos previously posted.

there are no dimensional or construction differences; only where the necks are welded on.
Sound clips as promised of my '04 running the MRT catted-H with the Flows Super 44's welded into a Bassani catback. Pretty unique setup. Sounds very brutal. Was real windy out today so I apologize for that. The MRT and the Flows were just made for each other. Mac would sound nice also.

Do you get any glass pack rap with your combo under load between 2500-3000rpm's? It sounds great revving!
Fireguy:
Those clips sound awesome! I may have to get under my car and see if I have room to get some super 44s to take the place of my stinger mufflers. Is there any drone? The only complaint I have about stingers is the harley blatt as its known and it seems a excess of popping on decel. What is your combo like on these issues. I have the MRT catted H already so I would have your exact setup pretty much. Thanks!

Hey Boss, I guess you could say they drone a little, but I think all setups do to a point. Now I had Stingers on a factory H on my 03 DSG car and these drone WAY less than the Stingers did. But the interior resonance is higher on my vert. The chambered flows do not have decel-pop, they "decel-burble" to a lesser extent. And NO Glasspack/Harley Blat, thats the main reason I switched.
The MRT catted H and Flows are like Milk and Oreos...they were made for each other
I call this setup the "Barry White" setup...deep, mellow and full of bass!
