you might want to do a poll with this for better results, i say bassani ftw though!!!
I've run both the Borla Stingers and the oval Borla catback with my Bassani x-pipe. IMHO, the Stingers were too raspy with the x-pipe. However, I love the Borla catback with the oval mufflers...
I've got a Magnaflow catback on my pickup (08 Dodge RAM with the HEMI) and also love it.
So, I guess it all comes down to your preferences for the loudness and tone of your exhaust...
Ditched my Magnaflow c/b last year to replace it with a set of used Borla Stingers...both with stock midpipe. Couldn't be happier with the stingers, especially now w/ the bassani catted X.
However, I've always liked magnaflow. It's a great product and have had it on both truck and car....but I've gotten rid of them on both vehicles b/c of the sound, or lack there of.

I have run both Bassani and Borla with both catted and offroad X's and the best is the offroad or catted X with the Borla Stinger's.
^^Nicely said.
I love my stingers with the xpipe. Sounds great with cats and down right ruthless with no cats. Sounds good either way. Check out my sound clips in my sig..there are vids with and without cats with stingers.

Screamin, you're car influenced me to get the Borla/Bassani combo and then like a retard, I went and switched out to a Bassani cat back. Now I'm looking to get back into the Borla game.

If you want a quick easy switch, you can get the weld in stingers. They are about 150 a piece. Got mine from Jegs. I traded a buddy of mine my stingers for his bassani catback with the old school 4'' slash cut tips that flows with the bumper. I rid the bassani mufflers and added the stingers. Basically just swapped out the tips. Makes the same noise except looks how I want it. My Borla tips started turning copper and the chrome on it somewhat started to flake. I suppose if I wanted my rolled tips back its just a matter of a trade. I couldn't roll like that so I did something different. Bassani makes good stuff..
I like my magnaflows have a catless powerchamber mid
x2.
The magnaflow is easily the best bang for the buck. It will flow as well as any other CB, and the quality of its parts and construction is as good as any. IMO the magnaflow isn't the best sounding CB as its pretty quiet, but its still very noticable, and it gets pretty loud at WOT. Many don't want an overly loud setup though. It does sound pretty good with a Prochamber.
I will soon be replacing my Magnaflow CB with some M55's, and I imagen that they might be just a little bit louder.

I just installed a stinger last night. My car had previously had the magn cb for about 8 months. I agree the WOT, top end sound level of the stinger is not a major difference over the magn. I'm sure it's a tad more, but not huge. What is no contest is the big level of bass you get rolling into the throttle from low and mid rpms. It bellows an awesome note.

Did the Borla's just clamp right in? Or did you have them welded in? I have the old school Bassani with the 4" angle cut tips too and I really like them so I may go the same route you did.

i have owned both bassani and borla's, i think the stingers sound the better than the bassani's when running an off road mid pipe. the bassani's were too loud for my taste.
stingers FTW
