I dont think that you can make it sound the same. Two diffrent types on engines.

You need to be trying to make your 4.6 sound like a 5.0. I much prefer the more Muscle Car sound of a SBF to that of a Modular.
Lets face facts, its pretty hard to find a bad sounding exhaust combo for a 5 liter Mustang. I recommend a Prochamber or O/R H-Pipe with some Flowmaster 40's.
I don't think you can. Different number of valves is the biggest issue you will have. I made that journey when I had my fox. Closest I got was an x pipe and magnaflows, but it will still be way off.

I went from a '93 5.0 with a full Bassani set up to my '03 Cobra. The Cobra's got Stingers and factory H. Damn, I miss the sound of that ol' 5.0! No better sounding car in the world IMO. It has taken me a while to get used to the 4.6 sound. It sounds good, but the 5.0 is classic muscle. Can't beat it.
Why would you want to make your car sound like it has less cubic inches? The higher displacement you go, the louder and meaner it gets.

I loved the Bassani X pipe on my 94. I put a Bassani X pipe on my 04 and it wasn't the same. Bassani X pipe all the way. Whatever you do for a catback, good luck.
Youre not going to be able to do that easily. By 12's on stock motor, do you mean completely stock, if so, not going to happen. H/C/I will get you about where you need for that, and it also makes the car much louder and sound alot better e7 heads suck massive
heres my car if it helps finding an exhaust, BBK =length shorties, BBK Catted X pipe and Pypes violator CB (i has tailpipes, but i miss my dumps so bad, they make 5.0s sound so cool.)
okay, apperently photobucket sucks as much as everyone says it does, click on the video, anybody know how i can make my bandwidth not exceeded?
