bbk headers?

whats up guys. i just bought a 03 cobra and it has bbk long tube headers, bbk catless h pipe and flowmaster catback...

i drove the car and it was really loud.. so loud you couldnt even hear the whine of the supercharger, so i called lethal and ordered a catted x-pipe to replace the catless h pipe - I did this because

1. i needed to to pass inspection regardless
2. hope of quieting the exhaust enough to hear the whine a little better.

now do you guys think bbk long tube headers are a good thing to keep on the car? i noticed that a lot of guys keep the stock headers and install just an x pipe + catback... why skip the headers?

also what does o/r mean?
thanks for your help im very new to these cars so please bare with me haha.

Ahh man I have the BBK long tubes, bbk catless H and flows cat back and I can hear the eaton perfectly fine but it's pullied. I LOVE the sound of that setup i'm not saying it's the best but I personally like it a lot. Can be quiet when u want it and LOUD when you want it.

Keep the headers they help with torque I think and help a lot if you ever go Twin Screw.

well i am just going to keep the h-pipe lying around so i can switch them whenever. maybe when i go TS ill make it catless.

right now i needed inspection anyway and the whine was really drowned out until high rpms.. car holds 8psi solid throughout the gear so i dont think theres any boost issues.
