GT Wont Rev

I just bought a new Ford GT today and the car won't go past 4000 rpms, when it hits 4000 rpms it just noses over like it has hit rev limiter, the car has 6 miles on it does anybody have any info on this?

I'd check for an obstruction on or in in the air cleaner (maybe a piece of the protective sheeting the car is shipped with got in there)-- if it's not that, it's back to the dealer.

I see you're from Woodbridge. I own a restaurant down by Potomac Mills, just how many hamburgers and free pool would it take for you to stop by one day and show it off?

Where did you purchase it? I'm hoping to be able to get a GT when I pay off the loan or get my next location open.

I just got back last week from watching my car get built at the Wixom plant. The GT has two set of injectors on each cylinder. The computer will not let the 2nd injectors operate until the car has 50 miles on it. I know this to be fact from my talk with the engineers. After 50 miles that car will run like no other. The magic cut off for power in the first 50 miles is 4000 rpm. What color did you get. Mine is yellow/black will not be here for two weeks.

Mine is white and blue my personal favorite, the dealer sold it to me for 2k over sticker or 159k which I thought was an excellent price considering all the gouging that is going on. I reset the fuel cutoff switch on my car and it started running like normal and for the gt that is awesome.

u have to wait 50 miles like he said. i am trying to get the family to trade in the 2002 aston vanq and get a black one with silver stripes.
