How do you start in cold after 12 hrs of work

Okay, so my shifts are 12 hours long and at night i plug in the block heater but once I drive to work and it sits for 12 hours how do you guys start the trucks. I work shift work so some weeks are grave yard shifts.

fyi im near albany and truck is a 2003 f250 powerstroke, 6.0L

I had a 2003 sd w/6.0 all you need to do is wait for the glow plug light to go out after you turn the key half way.That's all I did and no problems.

From what i read in your other thread, you said the FICM voltage checked out ok. Its possible that your GLowplugs could be going bad. How many miles are on the truck?
