I guess keeping cost down was there goal like no tilt or cruise control.
I believe the 93 came w/o tilt due to safety constraints that dealt with the airbag. If it had tilt and an airbag then the rationale was the bag could be redirected and not provide adequate safety in an accident.
All 93's came without tilt due to the airbag. CC was indeed a cost savings measure, although the official reason was "CC shouldn't be on a performance car"...

so i have read that your t-5 transmission has your vin stamped on it. so i'm tearing mine apart right now to swap internal geras for the speedo, and to my suprise my tranny has 5618 where as my vin is 5617... how odd is that?

Funny you should mention that... they must have dropped my motor too, because it has the next vin digit up from mine same as my tranny.. so who has the car after mine or before mine? you got my drivetrain! either that or someone screwed up putting the vin's on the car.
Hey, I've got a 93 Cobra, black with black interior. It's 100% original paint and it has a gold pony on the front and a gold "Ford" emblem on the back hatch.
Were these "Gold" emblems a factory option or was this done at the dealership? I'm the third owner....a Doctor ordered it new.

Everything I've seen says the 2.73 was standard, and 3.08 was optional on 93 model 5spd 5.0's, and 3.27 was standard on automatics. BTW, the 3.08 was a no charge option on regular 5.0's.
