SVTP @ Mustang Week 2009 : Burnout Contest Results and Video
SVTP was lucky to be part of the Mustang Week festivities yet again this year, and we’re happy to report that the events keep getting better and better. What is there really to say that hasn’t already been said in the SVTP Mustang Week forum. The fun runs at Myrtle Beach Speedway just keep getting better every year. Save for a few logistical glitches, which were out of the control of the MW staff, every event ran smoothly and everyone in attendance seemed to be having a great time. Participation in the car show and cruise-in keeps getting bigger every year. I was particularly surprised by the impressive attendance numbers of the Meet and Greet at Planet Hollywood.
This year SVTP came armed to the teeth to provide prizes and swag (don’t forget the free ice water to help you cope with the 120 degree plus asphalt temperatures) for our members in attendance. Congratulations go out to Cobra_4, the Winner of the SVTPerformance/Lethal Performance Mustang Week Gift Certificate Raffle. As you may know, during the Mustang Week at Myrtle Beach festivities SVTP partnered with Lethal Performance to give everyone present a chance to win a $250 gift certificate. We would like to congratulate Jeff as the winner of the raffle. He is a great asset to the SVTP community and we’re happy to see him win the prize.
In other Mustang Week news, for the second year in a row SVTP also partnered with Discount Tire Direct to sponsor the Mustang Week burnout competition. The winner, Patrick Antkowiak, powered his S197 GT to victory in the competition. For his efforts he won a new set of Nitto drag radials. We would also like to congratulate HYBRED for winning the Monthly SVTP Premium Member Lethal Performance $50 Gift Certificate Give Away for August, Vmnous285 for September, Smileyboy for October, and 04TorchedSVT for November. For those of you who are not familiar with this program, every month SVTP holds a raffle for the active Premium Members for a Lethal Performance gift certificate.
