Navigator Fuel Filter Bracket install

Yes, it has been done before and most people just wire tie the filter to the EVAP line.

I did some research at the request of some other members and I found this cheap solution.

Ford part number: YC3Z-9180-CA

(it's just the bracket)

There are not many brackets left in Fords parts depots so you might need to find one at a junkyard. The bracket is off of a gas motor F-250/350.

Ford Fuel Filter:

It's very important that you do not try to install a 800 fuel filter. The posts are not long enough to reach the fuel lines and then you cannot get the quick disconnect tool in to the coupler to release the front fuel line.

Remove the factory fuel filter bracket and filter:

I cut the top stud off the new bracket. The factory only had one mounting stud, so I figured that two would be more than enough:

Use a step bit to drill out this hole:

Use the bracket to mark the location for the back mounting stud and drill that hole:

If you use these holes you will have no clearance issue with the E brake bracket or cables:

Finished install:

It's a cheap $25 mod. Thats for both the bracket and filter.
