How to:do a clutch swap

I wanted to replace my clutch next weekend but need some help on doing it. I looked in the old how to forums and could not find anything.

i remember watching a video somewhere on the web..it went step by step on how to replace the clutch in a 03 04 cobra...Its out there just got to find it

To all those getting ready to do this job: The video test car had an x-pipe, which does require removal, but you do NOT have to remove your stock H-pipe to perform a clutch swap. Everything will come out easily, and will eliminate the hassle of getting the bolts off the exhaust manifold. They are usually pretty stuck. Word to the wise.

Yup just did mine Saturday along with a LDC cooling mod, 26 spline input shaft, new cable with adjuster and quadrant, etc.

Disconnect the cat-back from the mid pipe but don't remove anything. When you are ready to drop the trans and have the jack in place, remove the crossmember and lower the trans enough to remove the 4 bolts holding the shifter on the top and let it hang from the interior. The engine and mid pipe will pivot downward with the trans. Then remove the 8 bolts holding the trans to the bell housing and slide it away. Easy as that.
