Apparently not. I read the first 4 pages then jumped to the 8th. I missed alot I guess so sorry.
It's not all in this thread.

It looks like it has no mesh at all? Or is that support for a finer mesh I cannot see?

I guess that is how it comes...Im thinking about buying one but I would add some mesh to it....I wouldnt run this on the street but appears that it is easy to add mesh...It looks like it has screws on each side of the front piece that would allow you to remove it and add some more mesh...
Im stumped too b/c I dont want to run the crappy procharger one but want alittle more protection than this provides... It is the best built one I seen so far...Ill be giving them a call on Tuesday to inquire and Ill keep you posted about being able to add alittle more protection it in...
If you find anything else let me know too, please.
Chris, also ask Jason about these because he used them on a friend's 350Z turbo setup when he had very little space for a filter on the turbo.
Thanks for the links Dale. I won't be needing something like this just yet. I plan on a boost increase next year and would potentially need this to help with the large radiator. For now its enjoyment time.
Bringing this back to the top for anyone who hasn't seen it yet.
I have developed a bit of belt squeel. Not sure what it is just yet, but anti-squeel spray (cheap fix) did not work. I am going to try a Gates belt, rather than the Gatorback that is installed right now. ...one step at a time.
...also to include the new video I made a separate thread for in the Mach section.
Try a napa belt. I called reichard racing and they said they've had the best results with the napa ones.
I tried a gatorback and hated it. They are the worst belt for slip because all those extra grooves in them makes for less friction surface for the belt to grab.

Oh yeah? Hm. I might as well grab one of those, as well. My next steps would be to look at the tensioner and make sure the belt is riding the pullies/idlers correctly. We aligned everything to a close tolerance, but I remember the belt riding very close to the edge of one of the idlers.
how are you liking it after driving it vs the turbo? Give me a good comparo i have the f1a headunit in the house ready to mount but im kind of ready to buy TT's as well...i need a nice reliable car to have fun with

It depends on which TT kit you are looking to buy ...
The TT's were more abrupt when full boost kicked in. With my 57mm turbos it was around 3500-4k rpm and in low gears you could forget traction. I had the HP kit and the piping was all over the place (as with any TT kit). There wasn't much room around suspension components; it was like a puzzle putting it together, making sure the pipes stayed clear of everything during full travel. However, with all of that said, there is nothing better than the feeling of a 2nd-3rd gear pull.
The F1A is very smooth as boost increases, it just squats, stays squated and goes! The only downside is full boost is not achieved until redline. There is obviously less piping, it sounds way more badass, and in my opinion is more reliable (self-oiling, no tapping of oil pan, blah blah). The pull feels great, I love it.
so you enjoy the f1a more than the TT kit? Life is difficult sometimes...well only my car makes decisions hard
Enjoy? HMMMMMMMMM ...I think I enjoyed the TT kit more when it ran right (rarely). I did like doing the lame BOV popping (for my own enjoyment). Also, the look on turbo'd imports after they pop their BOV and hear mine shortly after is pretty priceless.

Basically. It sits near the ABS module in front of the A/C compressor.
Ok so from what I understand, you have a vacuum line goin from the bpv to the intake. Where im lost is, is that the only line you have goin from the bpv cause I was under the impression it had to get routed back to the inlet tube, and at first it looked like you had the radiator coolant hose goin into it, but after further evaluation it looks like theres nothing goin into it?

There is nothing going from the BPV to the intake tube. Procharger Race BPV's come in two types: open or closed. I do have the closed version (just a snout on the BPV capable of clamping a hose to it), but I am running it in the open configuration for a while. I love the street-sweeper sound after I finish a pull, but I may get tired of it so I wanted the option to run it "closed" (recirculated to the intake tube).

After reading up on it I understand now, none the less very very cool build and sick car!
Well, rather than replace the belt (forgot that the blower idler prevents an easy swap; I do not feel like removing that right now), I looked at my tensioner and this is what I found.
So I am thinking, wow, that could be my noise right there. The black line is where the belt was rubbing (before or after the 8-rib swap I don't know). The shaved aluminum is from the pulley to the left of the tensioner. I filed it down to leave just enough lip to prevent belt-walk and cranked her back up. The noise is STILL there. Now I am suspecting a bearing in the tensioner because the noise is coming from that area and it was bouncing up and down more than I suspected. I'll hopefully have it installed tomorrow night or Sunday night.
Installed a new tensioner, re-filed down that "stop" Procharger tells you to do, and also cut some of the belt guard off to prevent it from hitting lower pulley (above the a/c pulley).
NO SQUEEL! It looks like it was the spring in the tensioner causing it. The tensioner no longer bounces like before, its solid in one place. We'll see how it does after some driving.
I'm working on it. *HINT* ...'03 Cobra powered FFR Cobra!
...oh and the belt squeel is back. I really think its the tensioner making the noise. I can't think of anything else to do right now, so I'm going to live with it.
im buying that gnarly belt tensoiner thats for sale in the market, also there is a guy selling a nasty f1a mach here...its 8 rib also and he said he used stock tensoiners

Stupid squeals...always have to suck the fun out of everything. If it's not one thing it's gotta be the small stupid annoyances eh? Nonetheless your car still prevails as a bad ass car
