Catoctin Mountain Cruise - Sunday, Nov 1!!!

Hey MACA guys are ready for a fall cruise? How about Nov. 1

Greg has decided not to do the event this year as he is busy and a track event has him away. I am willing to run the event on Nov. 1 and continue with my lunch program as in the past if I can find someone to lead the group on Greg's course from last year, I will help get you familiar with the route!

I have gone out a driven the course and have put to gether a series of maps to get people around the route easily and back to the camp grounds, I will post these maps and directions as a PDF later this week. If the interest is there I will be more than happy to make this the 8th annual event. Thanks again for you interest and continued support.

I live in the area and would like to participate. I just need to ride with someone or rent a V-6 Mustang from Hertz or something. I just dont have a Cobra this year, hopefuly next year that will change.

I'm in John! Do you want to do the cookout, or just scale down and maybe go out and eat somewhere in Frederick. This way you can do the cruise and it cuts down on the logistics and planning...?

I would still like to do the cookout, I think that has become part of the event and believe it or not it is fun, I may even have my father-in-law helping out this year. Dwight, on your calendar you have the event on the 18th. The fellow that does not have a Cobra, Mike just drive any Ford product you must have in your driveway.

I think November 1st would be awesome John. The 18th is the original day that Greg had talked about, but is the day after the Shootout which could knock some folks out of attending.

John/Dwight...I might be able to make it on the 1st.
I had pulled out because of doing a 3 day NASA at VIR this past weekend (and good thing, I'm gonna be rebuilding my rear brakes now

). But I might be open for the 1st.

I do have a NASA Summit Point on Nov 7/8, and will have to be sure the car is ready for that first. If it is, I can come out and play.

But don't count on me for sure. I have to be at this last race, so the car prep has to come first. Hoping for a good MACA turnout.

Thanks for all the posts, looks like National Capital is doing the 25th in the Catoctins and MD Patriots are doing a Halloween Cruise. Thanks 5spd07 for the link, I'm not permitted to create a post on Patriots because I just signed up. I left a message on one of there cruises to let them know what I was up to. The fellow who posted on Patriot linked to the MACA site - that was great. If anybody can create a thread over there title CMC would be helpful. Hopefully, like Hlistr_o7rr make many will do both! JC

The Md Patriots took this cruise on a month ago and have it planned for Oct 25th, I spoke to Greg about it in the beginning of September.

I won't be making it on the 25th, but hope to make it on the 1st. This is my first event of this kind..EVER. Any tips? Kind of confused here.

This could not come at a better time!!! Assuming I do not run into any issues Oct 31st.....I will be there on Nov 1st for my first return event in a.....oh...you already know what I am coming in!!! But, if you don't...I'll keep ya guessing!
