i agree the Mach is quicker stock for stock...but how many times do i have to tell you people that the Cobra and Mach weigh nearly the same...the Cobra is actually a few lbs lighter than the mach
so why does the mach1 weigh 35lbs more? Isn't the IRS a hefty 85 lbs more than the SRA?

cobras have more hp 15 more machs have 3 more lbs of torque the machs do come with 3.55's stock and the cobras have 3.27's its more or less the same car besides the irs the heads blabla its just which ever you think looks better. ive raced a 04 mach 1 it had the basic stuff and i beat it on the track with my 3.27's?
actually mach1's have almost the same peak rwhp as cobras. 275-285 rwhp on the average. The machs were a little underrated from ford. The difference is the cobra makes its peak power at a higher rpm. than the mach1. Mach1's also have the 03 cobra heads so they generally make more torque. I love both cars as well.
i think that manufacturers should be required to list the rwhp as well as the usual crank hp when they advertise. its like with stereos, or amps.. peak power vs rms power. really the peak power means nothing, just a big number for people to gawk at.. similar to crank power vs rwhp.
Whats are the REAL numbers, not the fancy numbers to appeal to the unknowledged eye!!

one word... Marketing appeal! As long its not technically false advertisement. Ford learned that painfull harsh lesson from the 99 Cobras in a BIG WAY!
this question does get asked over and over again but i still find it hard to believe that this many cobra owners still think that stock for stock the cobra is just as quick.
The cobra is heavier and has less hp. It also has a rearend that doesn't hook well. A stock mach one will always be quicker than a stock cobra given the same driver.
As for the compression, .15 will make no differnce in hp or the ability to run fi.
