COBRA because I'm biased. I wish I had a cooler hood like the shaker though. I am fed up with the IRS, but it has been low on my todo list. I am currently doing coilovers, tubular K member/A-arms up front---- after that Full IRS bushing and coil overs/shocks.....bring it Mach1s........ O and I'm not stock..........LOL

01 Cobra:
+ Nicer seats, guage cluster, steering wheel.
+ It's a Cobra (bragging rights)
- Uglier hood (but I put a termi hood on so better anyways)
+ Doesn't look ridiculous when you want to throw on termi body parts

Mach:
+ Cooler Stock Aesthetics (but not very exterior modifiable)
+ Newer
+ But still cool retro styling
- Ugly Gauge cluster/seats
- Not as respected overall (to less mustang-educated folks)
- Not a Cobra
- Not a Cobra
man, someones full of themself. guys with machs would make the same arguement because they are more rare. and as far as seats and gauges go, thats a matter of opinion. i like mach gauges better that 99-01 cobras. and the seats? they look horrible in 99-01 cobras.

Uh, not all....adn yes your front bumper looks alot better...then again, same can be said about rear ends...how many are doing SRA swaps?

I like both cars. I simply prefer the looks and stock setup of the mach over the cobra, because it suits my tastes. I prefer the low end TQ, 3.55s, gears and styling..inside and out. I like the white SVT gauges though, but wouldnt' put them in a mach as it doesnt' suit the retro appeal.

It's simple.....anyone looking at a 99/01 or 03/04 it's this simple.

You have to ask yourself these two questions..

1) corner handling or 1320 setups?
2) which styling do you prefer?

Obviously the first option can be changed if 2 conflicts with 1, but that's the jist of it.

Oh, IDk what adding 03/04 cobra parts has anything to do with it. Mach has completely different styling and it isn't a cobra. Besides, if you like the look of an 03/04..then get one.

One thing I can't get over the 99/01 personally....is the hood. WAY TOO much like a sixxer. And BOTH of them sit to high.

do you normally just spout bullshit out of your head???

lets start with production numbers
03/04 Mach - 9652 in 03 and 7137 in 04 or 16,789 total
99/01 Cobra - 8095 in 99 and 7251 in 01 or 15,346 total

so there goes your more rare argument...not that matter really mid teens is hardly rare no matter what it is

secondly the seats in the 99 or like the GT of that year and the 01 seats are similar to the 03/04 Cobra seats with the suede inserts...the 01 seats are a tad shorter and narrower

All Mustangs are all cheap, mass produced, obviously pieces of sh*t though, so any more arguments are invalid. Viper,Z06,Ford GT > Mustang. I'd save my money if I could go back.

well the truth about the seats is that the 99 cobra seats are the same as the 99-04 gt.
the 01 cobra and 01 bullitt have the same seat except where the cobra has sued, the bullitt has leather.and the mach 1's seats are the same as the 03-04 cobras with the same excption as the 01 cobra and bullitt.

Also, he runs a "pro-shifted" tranny! That alone is worth about 2 MPH!

I've got the simple weight reduction mods and I am also around a 3350 race weight (I'm 200 lbs) with about 3/4 tank. I've got the basics tubular K/coil-overs, no sway bars, no quad shocks, no cats, Prostars, light rims, no dog bone, aluminum ds/flywheel, etc...

I've still got the rear seat/seatbelts, factory power driver's seat, a/c, PS, factory radio, and f/r bumper supports.

Just by ditching the front and rear bumper supports, spare tire & jack, rear seat/seatbelts, getting a set of Kirkey's, a Dynabatt, less gas in the tank and a few other odds and ends I could get my weight down to 3,100 lb or so with me in the car. But it will still be a basically full interior car with power steering, radio, a/c, all sound deadening and not a gutted swiss cheesed p.o.s.

There is a helluva big difference in a 3,000+ race weight car and a 2,800 lb. race weight car. Ken Bjonnes car was gutted to hell to get down to a 2,800 lb race weight, as in no interior and a single seat. I'm pretty sure Angus' car is still a daily driver, at least he said something to that effect a few months ago.

If you're at 3350, there's a lot more weight you can get out of that car w/o sacrificing streetability and interior appearance.

Yes, I can...but, my car IS a daily driver. That means, that I like my creature conforts LOL! AC, nice stereo, seats, etc.

Keep in mind that I have a 6 point cage on the car (I dont belive that Bill's car has one..at least until a few months back), a fire suppresion kit, and few other "extra weight" items.

I could remove a bunch of stuff, but why? Car runs 9s @ hauling ass MPH (for a street car) on a little (-read: reliable) nitrous shoot, and runs 10s all day long @ good MPH for full weight all motor car with no drama and kills just about anything on the streets.

I was not hating on Bill's car, my intitial point was that comparing his Cobra vs. his Mach is like apples to oranges. His Mach is/has been much modded than this Cobra ever was.

If I may add....

Boss Block = ~80LBS Extra
6 Point Cage = ~80LBS Extra
_________________________
Total = ~160LBS Extra

Now, my race weight is = 3350LBS
Substract the ...............~160LBS
_____________________________
No Cage/Aluminum Block = ~3190LBS

Which, when I had the Big Bore motor, and no cage and fire suppresion I was at one time at 3170LBS....which makes sense.

psst.....no they're not. Mach seats are WAY more comfy...well, for me. I always hated having my clothes rub against the suede.
