on my 2000 (GT, but it has a set of 03 cobra headlights lol), the pass. side i can adjust it, on the drivers side, not so much it's aimed sky high. I tried turning it and it just wont budge. any idea how these damned things work and if there's a way to fix them? they look great, i don't want to fork over $180 or whatever for new headlights, but i can't stand the sky high look.

take the head light out of car take the bulb out try turning both ways to loosen it. most likely dirt jammed the adjust screw if that dont work put a little penetrating oil on it and let sit

I would try that....
New headlights won't do anything for the adjustment ability.

i guess i didn't word my post correctly, the screw turns, but the headlight doesn't move accordingly. any suggestions or is my headlight effed?
I've honestly never inspected the moving parts very well. I would pull the headlight out, move the screw and see if the adjustment parts move up or down....
I could be wrong, but I just don't see how new headlights would help the issue....
To rule it out, you could borrow someone else's headlights and pop them in...try to adjust and see if they move...if they do...hey, I was wrong and you need a new headlights could be your answer....
Is it an OEM headlight or an aftermarket? If it's an aftermarket, it'll have two adjustment screws. The second screw is "hidden" and the only way you can get to it is by removing the headlight. BTW, if you do remove the headlight, I'd recommend putting some tape, etc. on your front bumper to protect the paint from an accidental scrape.
it was off my friends stock 03 cobra, so i'm assuming it's a stock headlight. piece of junk lol. it seems like the threads inside may have just stripped out. guess i'm SOL unless I take it apart and rig something up.
IMHO, if it's an OEM headlamp, I wouldn't waste your time trying to take it apart. I've taken apart more than my fair share of headlights, and the only way I could get the Ford OEM ones apart was with a Dremel. The aftermarket ones are easy to separate (just throw them in the oven), but not the OEM ones. FWIW, you can get a brand new pair of aftermarket headlamps, that look identical to the OEM ones from 1A Auto: Aftermarket Auto Parts, Car Parts, Replacement Auto Body Parts, Truck Parts for $99 w/ free shipping.
i bought some off ebay, hopefully i don't have the same issues again lol.
I did that and I have huge condensation issues. I think I'm about to scrap them and go OEM. I've had to re-seal mine at least 3 times and it's still condensating...

I don't care if they're aftermarket or OEM....silicone the stinken things. I've had OEM and aftermarkets get condensation, a bead of sealant around the things and you don't have to worry....

Yeah, I've done that 3 times now. That's why I said I've released them. It's ridiculous...I got them from a company on eBay for $120
