Why in your post did you not make it known that the seats were not a matching pair.. That would have been the correct thing to do.. It is good that you are making it right.
By definition, that is exactly what you are. You used the internet to scam someone that bought these seats from you. You may not be a bad guy, and, in fact, I really don't think you are. However, you intentionally tried to pass off two passenger-side seats as a matching set, which is a very, very dishonest, shitty, dirty thing to do. For the first several days, you even lied about knowing they were both passenger-side seats. Again, a dishonest, shitty, dirty thing to do.

How exactly, Corey? I admire the fact that you're here in this thread facing the brunt of us, but talk is cheap. How will you fix this? I offered you five solutions last night, and you didn't accept any of them. You've offered to find me a donor frame, and, again, that's admirable, but it won't fix the problem. That will leave me with a driver-side seat with a few holes in the leather, and the fabric lower half that should be against the console will be on the outboard side of the seat, in plain sight. Would you spend $875 for seats like this? I sure wouldn't. Would anyone else??

You told me about the lack of power tracks AFTER I sent a deposit for them. Why wasn't this mentioned in the ad? I admit, I did have a chance to look at the seats when I picked them up. However, I was so focused on looking at the condition of the leather and fabric, that I didn't notice that you had bolted the lower seatbelt onto the opposite side of the "driver-side" seat, making the recline mechanism non-functional. At first glance, the seats looked perfectly normal. It's also debatable as to whether you tried to hide anything, otherwise, you would have made it clear in your for-sale post that these two seats were both passenger-side seats. I guess I'm just too trusting. It never occurred to me someone would swap around seats and try to sell them as a matching set. Rest assured, next time I buy anything from anyone online, I'll be much more skeptical.
You say having these seats in your car didn't bother you so you thought it was ok to sell them for way more than their worth, hiding the fact they are both passenger-side seats? I have this '99 Cobra convertible in my garage. I'll sell it to you for $11,000. It's perfect. There's nothing wrong with it at all. Or should I tell you that there is no transmission and the engine needs rebuilt? Those last two things don't bother me, so I guess it's OK to sell it to someone else for the same value as an up and running Cobra.
What solutions did you offer him that he turned down? His suggested solution is straight BS. The only way I can even think of to make this right is either find you a drivers seat in great condition and buy it for you or give you a FULL refund. You thought of 5? I am impressed. I would not be so nice.
wait you picked them up? Sounds like its on you since you werent more thorough looking at them.

I don't think it is the buyers fault at all. In the original thread they were sold as a pair. He even moved the seat belt to make it look like a set. When the buyer went to look at them he was more concerned about making sure the material was in good shape. The seller did everything he could to scam the buyer. Luckily the buyer was someone local. If these had been shipped it would have been a very bad situation.

I agree.. I sell things on here often and I aways try and give the best description of the item.. Anyone that thinks it is the buyers fault on this one I would not buy from them. That is just my .02
of course i would of said they werent matching pairs. But the OP picked the seats up and didnt pay till he looked then over.
I'll take a photo of the seats, place them side by side and post the photo here. You'll have the advantage of knowing something is wrong, and you'll know exactly what to look for. We'll see how long it takes you to notice.
I had no reason to suspect anything like this would happen, and Corey bolted the lower seatbelt over top of a modified recline mechanism. Unless someone is specifically looking for this, I defy anyone to notice in less than 15 minutes.

It's awful easy to Monday-morning quarterback.
really? I go through seats like i go through my underwear, its pretty easy to tell it isnt a driver seat when it has a non power bracket because the bracket patterns are different, they wont work on a driver seat.

OK, you're right. Clearly I should have done more research to see if the bracket patterns were different. I should also have sent PMs and/or e-mails to every individual on this forum to find out all there is possibly to know about a pair of '04 Cobra seats. I should also have called every Ford dealer in the Eastern Time Zone, consulted with every armchair aficionado, read every magazine or book on the subject, and then gone to get the seats. You're absolutely right. I didn't do that, so I am to blame. Thank you for setting me straight.
The way to make this right would be for the seller to give the money back in full

Thanks for the support, fella's. I agree that would be nice, but it isn't going to happen. I'm finding out that this guy owes so many people money for deals he screwed up that I'm sure he spent my money before he even got home from meeting me.
Sorry to hear about the situation. I hope the OP mans up and does the right thing.

Interesting take on this. I go through race tires and brakes WAY more often than underwear. I am certain I could school you on a thing or two about them. Seats are another story. The buyer should not have had to disassemble the seat in order to know that they were two passenger seats. The SELLER should have disclosed it. End of story. Your perspective is not helping my opinion of you.

Bought some Side scoops of CD03 and was thinking of buying other parts. He has a lot of interior parts from a medium parchment 1999 Cobra? Will definately NOT buy from him now. $875 for 2 passsenger seats. He also wanted $600 for a rear bumper from 03 he had painted.
