got flowmaster catback ordered to replace my stock catback.pretty much got it for the sound but will I pick up any hp? seat of the pants or no? for 99 cobra I like the sound of flowmasters on mustangs
there have been some ppl actually state that they lost some hp on a flowmaster setup.... i had it on my car when it was bought and ended up swapping it out for a mac cat back..... to me there is nothing better then the sound of a mac prochamber with a mac catback!!!!

I put it on mine and dynoed and deffinatly gained power. Now having only my flows vs stock and no other cats I cant comment. But flows over stock deffinatly net +hp

I very much doubt that you will see more than 2 hp in either direction. Assuming you still have the stock H-pipe in place, that is by far the most restrictive part of the exhaust and will dictate how freely the exhaust flows.
Sound is very subjective, and I always liked the sound of a chambered muffler more than that of a straight thru.
you lose the two resonator whatever things on an aftermarket midpipe...suppose you could cut those out and weld a piece of pipe in their place...I lived in Cali when mine was a virgin so I hear ya on emissions...now that I think about it, that it is an expensive mod to keep the cats...lol...oh well love my current set-up! not changin a thing...

im not the biggest fan of flowmasters, they drone ALOT inside the vehicle. i think they sound really good, but on long trips theyre enough to make you want to blow your brains out!
