The 03/04 has a first gear ratio of 2.66 and I believe the Viper spec is a 2.97. I'm not sure if the rest of the gear ratios are different or not.

Viper is 2.66 first. The only T56 that has a 2.97 first is the 2000 Cobra R spec transmission.

The viper spec i believe has .74 and .50 5th and 6th ratios compared to .80 and .62. Also the internals are capable of holding more power.
