How did they find it though? Might be worth taking the GT500 out but I cant imagine thats the only problem
Carroll is a miserable old man
They must have people out there where their only job is too search for this kind of thing. I am still talking with Zazzle though. I think its because one of manOwar pictures is a zoomed in shot of the word "Shelby," not necessarily because there is a GT500 in the calendar. I hope this can be worked out and they can allow me to replace that one picture with something else.

Dear Zazzler,
Thank you for your email.
The images of the GT500 for the month of March must be removed completely. As noted in the previous email, we contacted by Carroll Shelby Licensing and at their request removed products which infringed upon their intellectual property rights.
Thanks for using Zazzle.com.
Best Regards,
Mike

Stay tuned. I hope to have this completely resolved and the calendar back up for ordering in a day or so.
What a bunch of crap, I'm pissed. I have nearly $100k in a car that I can't show off? I'm pretty sure at this point, everything that says it's a Shelby GT500 will be coming off and/or the car is going to a new home.
Good luck Shelby Autos, you've just made one more enemy. One more may not sound like much but in todays economy, nearly $15,000 a year for the last three years on this car and the 2010 I "WAS" going to by the wife as well as the mods for hers could add up! I guess she'll get her second choice and Dodge will be in the driveway.
Happy Motoring Shelby Autos, I hope you drive off a cliff you Fing Crooks!!!!!

Sorry, but I'm glad to see more people coming around. Mr Shelby has chosen to sh!t upon those that actually made an attempt to support his legacy for some time now, and even at his ripe age, isn't slowing down one bit. Reasonable protection of his intellectual property is one thing, but he and his ilk go way beyond what most consider acceptable.
Personally, I bought my GT500 because it was the only way to get the blown 5.4 from the factory. I never wanted his name anywhere on the vehicle and never will.
If the UAW line crew was actually capable and thus Ford didn't need to punch two alignment holes in the fenders for the 'snakes' those would be gone too. Sorry purists, the GT500 has nothing to do with any input from CS - for me. It's just an S197 with the powerplant that I wanted Ford to sell me. Hopefully, when his contract with Ford is over, it'll be over. We can go back to it being a Cobra, offer it at a better price (how much do you think you paid for his name to be plastered on your car?) and allow it to be even more competitive with Chevrolet's pony car.
I really Doubt it has anything to do with Carroll Himself.....but more like the Dumb People he has working for him. Who think they know something about cars but proabaly only work in a dorky office somewhere watching out for somthing as stupid as this. I bet they have never even driven a Shelby.
So Tell me this how does any mag or newpaper get by running a picture of a car they shoot for anything? Accident, Gas Mileage reports etc. I worked in Advertising for a small local paper and never once heard of anything like this.
I say give us and email link to shelby so we can all flood them with email to get something approved. This sight makes up for a ton of there sales simply because of its pictures, stories and such, I am sure.
PS if you want to replace his picture.....Use My white Car.....LOL
J/k......I love his car saw it at MW 09 and I just can't believe they are fussing about it.

1991 Coupe...Turbo? time will tell...
I checked UPS tracking and my calenders have shipped and should arrive on November 9th. I wonder if Mr. Shelby will show up at my house to get them back?
Same thing happened to the BMC a year or two ago when they tried to make a member calendar. At that time Ford was on the rag and shit them down for having visible Ford emblems in the pictures. It became a big fight but the BMC could not afford to go to court and was forced to take the calenders down. Ford hired an outsuide firm at the time to "protect" their trademarks, Shelby is doing the same thing. Carroll probably knows nothing about it and wouldn't care if he did. The people running his company are the ones causing this and like someone said above they are probably not even close to enthusiasts, just copyright wanna be lawyers who are trying to make a name for themselves.
Tob - Car looks great all debadged like that! I am sure people think it is a clone which makes it even better IMHO. I took all the Ford badges off my cars a couple years ago when they went after companies using the Mustang name.

I never wanted the attention from either kids or gawking senior citizens (or law enforcement). So removing the cheesy tape stripes was easy for me. Removing the SHELBY (uh oh...will I get sued for typing those letters in that order?) lettering felt better than the best dump I ever took, bar none. I get a kick with all the threads about how to space the letters out so that it looks like a KR or so that an '07-'09 looks like a '10. Too fanboi.
It would have been nice to have this car offered in stripper fashion. Without the sue happy old geyser's name taped on, I can only imagine how much less fanfare the car would have gotten, how much less of an ADM would have been tacked on, and how many more would be in the hands of those that actually drive them instead of worship them as they sit in some temperature controlled vault somewhere.
The sooner Mr Shelby's name is gone from Ford's lineup, the faster more people can enjoy a better car at a far more reasonable price.
manOwar is being removed and replaced by z28th1s (he was next in line). Since z28th1s was on the back page, EpikMach takes his spot. I hope to have it back up for sale tonight.

I guess you'll just have a limited edition calendar.

I was concerned about this when I first started to get the calendar going, but I read a link from the BMC forums that Ford was ok with the production of the calendars ...at least that's what I recall. Who knows, now that I am clearing up the CSLLC nonsense, Ford will come after me next.
I'm glad I already ordered mine, I love manOwar's car. I'm jacked it that that old salty bastard hires people to make us hate him more than we already do.
Bury Carrol and bring back the SVT team. They did all the freakin engineering anyway, at least they are actually car enthusiasts rather than cash enthusiasts
Carrol Shelby is to Ford as Joe Paterno is to Penn State football. Old and utterly useless, aside from the marketing aspect.
The calendar has been updated! For those that have ordered already and have received tracking numbers, you are good to go and will received the "Limited Edition" calendar. For those of you who have not ordered ...PLEASE DO! I apologize for this delay and I hope we are in the clear from this point forward.
Current Comp Orange: (Eaton) 10.80 @ 128mph, 3.31 gears and 28" tall tires. Stage 3 port and 2.76 upper only. Solid axle
Turbo: 723rwhp/689rwtq, 22# mustang dyno. track times to come
On 1 hand, I am ecstatic that I finally made the calendar, but on the other hand, I feel I don't deserve it since I didn't win... ManOWar's car is awesome & deserves to be in this calendar, that is just BS that he can't represent HIS car that HE paid for....
