trust me you dont want to be within 100 ft. of that dyno when it makes a pull......its SCARY LOUD!!!!......I also have to say its by far the fastest car i've ever rode in......that car is also SCARY FAST!!!!.....now i have to kennebell my '99 cobra thanks andrew
sounds freakin mean man! I love that sound. Unfortunately my KB 1.7 doesnt scream yet . I just ordered the kb cai "big tube kit" and 75mm throttle body so hopefully it will get louder with that, and some more power wont hurt either. Looking forward to more vids.
[quote=Screamin Cobra]Last week (10/9/06), I got my Cobra tuned by James@RWTD. Obviously he did an AWESOME job and I would highly recommend him to anyone who needs a dynotune. For those who do not know, he is located in Mobile, AL, so he was about 2 hours from my hometown...not too bad.
[quote=Screaming Cobra]
Hey, how much did he charge for the tune and what kind of dyno does he have? Does he specialize in any type or brand of car in particular? I am thinking of going with someone in BR who is an SCT tuner, but he is realatively new at it. Also, I wanted to go with JMS and I have heard a LOT of good things about them, but they couldn't get my boys car to run right(was sucking itself dry), or even diagnose the problem, and they told me some things I even know aren't true (and were confirmed by MP) about my set up.

Screamin Cobra and I just got back from RWTD last night, who turned my car. All I can say is that James is one stand up guy and really knows his Sh*%. James can turn any type of vehicle, but mostly Mustangs. James has been tuning cars for nearly 10yrs. Just get ready to spend all day, due to the fact that James was three hrs late for my dyno appointment. I arrived at 9am and didn't leave until around 8pm. James didn't show up until after lunch. My car feels like a whole new animal. My car has never ran this smooth even at Stock setting. Trust me you won't be disappointment, but again get ready to spend all damn day.

True, you might be there for a little while but, reguardless, your car will run right and be rather safe afterwards. You will not have anything to worry about because James is awesome at what he does and will go out of his way like leaving his shop to go buy stuff or take new stuff that is his and use it to help you out. James is a pro
Sounds great bro! Glad it all finally worked out(even though it was a pain there for a little bit). But we got it all taken care of! We need to meet halfway in TX one of these days for sure!
And I'll give another thumbsup to James @ RWTD. He is one of the most stand up individuals I have ever talked to. Very nice and professional guy. He is there to take care of business and his work shows in the cars he tunes and the customers that leave his shop. He went out of his way many times for me when I recieved mail order tunes from him. If he wasn't so far away from me I'd drive down there for his dyno tuning, thats for sure!
whipples are great but I would give up 20hp for the music that comes from my KB any day of the week!
Well I did make 4 more rwhp with the KB than I did with the Whipple. Thats also with 3 less degrees of timing on the KB too!!
I made 602 @ 23* of timing with the Whipple and I made 606 @ 20* of timing with the KB. Same setup/boost on whipple and KB. KB is an accufab and my whipple was a stock tb when it was on my cobra.
Then again, different tuners and dyno's so either way...they are both nice compressors but it does come down to personal preference.
