Not much, some exhaust work, a little weight reduction and a great driver.

Bottom line is, A car is only as good as its pilot.
Hell I've passed a C5Z with my decently set up 96 when I did open tracking.
He'd make up ground in the straights but fall back in the turns. Guy couldn't drive.
