hit the dyno tonight with my whippled 04
Well i decided to leave work early tonight and get down to the local dyno before the weather gets crappy again (more snow coming tomorrrow
) Anyways, the mods are a new polished whipple and the usual mods that go along with it. The tune was done by James and Ed from RWTD which i ended up adding some extra fuel in just to make it extra safe. A/F was around 11.4 to 11.5 and timing was 17 degrees. Also, if you're wondering about where my hood vents went, they will be back on tomorrow. I actually just got my hood back today from the bodyshop for some warranty work. There was a hairline crack in the paint that probably came from someone trying close the hood with the palm of their hand, anyways, the painter was nice enough to do the whole underside of the hood for free while he was at it (you know what it looks like from the factory when you remove the hood blanket) Final numbers were 602/564.
thanks again Hector for putting the vid together!

he was seeing 20.5 lbs of boost with 19* of timing with the 1st tune but he reflashed the pcm with the 2nd tune which commanded 17* of timing and i think it made 17.5 lbs of boost. the a/f was much safer too

when i originally contacted James/Ed at RWTD i told them to build me a tune for around 18 psi, well when i first drove it the gauge was showing right around 20 psi. So, i called them back up and told them what kind of boost levels i was seeing. The next day they sent me a new, more conservative tune. The last run being slightly heatsoaked the boost was at 19.5lbs. Some other numbers that were datalogged were Fuel Pump Duty Cycle 87%, IAT2 140 degrees, MAF counts 913 <~~ all taken at 6300 rpms. Anyways, I guess time will tell how long the stock clutch will last...lol...the car only has 9800 miles on it so hopefully a little while longer.
