Thats strange, we did my buddies GT with a lightning motor in it. BUT it didnt stick up that high, we also used the stock GT hood and just cut a hole large enough for the supercharger to stick out.

I think it kills the whole purpose of the motor swap that most people are going to look at the car and think its a cobra anyway. If he would have kept it looking like a gt then it would turn a lot more heads. There are plenty of cobras faster then that thing im sure, but not many gt's

You wouldn't have near the clearance problems.

I couldn't imagine having 550+rwtq in a car car that weights 1300 pounds less than my L

one thing you guys are missing is when you start out with the GT, that is what you are paying insurance on. Start out with a Cobra and see what you would be paying, plus the price of a used GT is a whole lot less than for a Terminator. Leaves plenty of money to do all kinds of stuff as you see here.
