Ya I have a 20G and it is nothing special, they are capable of 425ish (at least on my car). I havn't ran my past 20psi which is sad because they don't wake up until 20psi .

As stated the 20g is a small/medium-ish turbo that shouldn't make much more than 400whp maxed out so it's loss to a liekly 550whp+ TT GTO is to be expected from a highway roll. Nice cars though.

I would like to see that dyno sheet, I doubt it was much more then 420rwhp, maxing out at probably 450rwhp, 20G's are small.. I have one and it spools very fast.

Why is this even an arguement really??

The STi had less horsepower and atleast 400 extra unecessary pounds. The race between the GTO would have been a lot closer without the weight, and a little more boost. I dont think he would have pulled a win out, but it would have been a lot closer.

I worked for precision tuning for two years and put, without exaggerating, at least 40 20gs on stis. It's about the largest "stock location" turbo you can put on with the exception of th dominator series. Without meth on a safe tune, and stock motor an sti will be between 340-380wheel depending on the rest of the mods. With meth, 400 is not a problem but I've never seen a 20g put anywhere near 450wheel on an sti.

Don't forget the FP Green and FP Red. Those will make 450-500whp all day. But yeah, there's no way he was making 420whp+ with a 20g without meth, race gas, cams, headwork and/or nitrous. And you can't compare a 4g63 with one of the best flowing heads ever designed with a flat 4 2.5. 20g is a typical 350-380whp on 90% of STis. A "big turbo STi" is GT35R, FP Red, SR55, or basically any twin-scroll rotated setup.

Good races, the GTO moved out for sure from a roll. Races from a dig would have been nice to see. I think if an AWD car agrees to go from a 70 roll (about the worst possible scenario for them), then the RWD car should reciprocate and go from a dig.

Definately not a big turbo STi. Just a small bolt on.
