Stock rods = rated to 450ish flywheel hp over a certain period of time, cold weather = more power. It made 369 SAE, what it was actually making AT THE TIME of the race is other matter entirely. All your motor cares about is what it's making at the moment, not correction factors. Plus 105k miles doesnt help lol

505 hp V10? It's making 479 rwhp so it's a bit north of 505 at the flywheel now

I've seen tons of lightnings with minor mods pull those SRT-10 trucks. The lightning will be back, and when he does, I'm sure he will be top dog. Built motor, wow, maybe even an aftermarket blower? Do it. Call JDM or Johnny lightning and they will hook you up.

nice change of pace to see races involving all trucks. and all of them were sweet. sucks that the L let go. maybe its just me, but i thought the sts ram would have been a little stronger than that

There is a local L that would run that RT above.... it went 9's a stock transmission and 200 pounds and quite a bit less power ago

That's what a properly driven SRT10 Ram will do to a L with both having light mods. Equally driven, the Ram will win every time.
Not having to launch the ram eis a big advantage.

I hear ya, yours looks to be an interesting setup to say the least.
My friend's Lightning went a 9.99@138 with the stock transmission, Whipple 2.3, NX, stock computer (tuned by him), stock rear.
Now it has a Whipple 3.4, Big Stuff 3 Computer, Built TH400 Transmission (lost like 100 pounds), he took some other weight out as well, has a different nitrous setup too. I think the heads will be a little better now also.

Speeds8erM-1, what i meant was it might of pegged the MAF, ran lean etc. Something specific rather than old age or it's tired.
